The traditional Italian manufacturer Bianchi is the oldest bicycle manufacturing company still in existence worldwide and was a pioneer in the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires. Founded in 1885 on Via Nirone in Milan by Edoardo Bianchi, Bianchi acted as a pioneer in the evolution of the bicycle into its modern, safe, and everyday form. Particularly well-known are the world-famous Bianchi racing bikes, which are responsible for quite a few victories and top placements in bicycle races globally.
Fans know and love Bianchi for the "Celeste" color traditionally used on the manufacturer's bikes, a turquoise shade also known as "Bianchi Green." Today, Bianchi bikes are also available in other colors, but "Celeste" remains in the product range as a timeless classic.
The Bianchi brand is a constant source of innovation in the field of bicycle manufacturing. For example, they were one of the first manufacturers to install front rim brakes. Bianchi is also responsible for the first bicycle with Dunlop tires and the first women's bicycle, which was built for Queen Margherita of Italy. Even today, Bianchi bicycles are state-of-the-art and use the latest technology to offer the peak performance that customers expect.
Due to its unique status as a veteran among bicycle manufacturers and its long, illustrious history in cycling sponsorship, Bianchi enjoys a certain prestige in the world of racing bikes. The Bianchi legend began with the sponsorship of Giovanni Tommasello, who won the Grand Prix de Paris in 1899. Other notable athletes under the Bianchi flag included Fausto Coppi (Paris-Roubaix winner) and various teams such as the Belkin Pro Cycling Team.
Bianchi Bikes
A Bianchi bicycle always aims for absolute performance and legendary speed—that is what they are known for—but they wouldn't be Italian if design didn't also take center stage. Bianchi bikes are aesthetically pleasing, elegantly shaped, and possess that certain visual appeal that has been lost over the years with many other performance-driven manufacturers. Racing bikes like the Bianchi Oltre XR4, the Bianchi Aria, or the hyperbike Bianchi Oltre show the world that performance and design can indeed go hand in hand. Bikes from the Bianchi gravel range, such as the Bianchi Impulso, are also both beautiful to look at and high-performing to ride.
Bianchi E-Bikes
For those looking for a powerful pedelec with a sophisticated look, a Bianchi e-bike is perfect. The brand's various electronically assisted bikes range from e-MTBs and e-trekking bikes to e-racing bikes and e-gravel bikes. Flexible model series like the Bianchi E-Omnia offer aspiring e-bikers everything their heart desires.
