Hercules

Hercules is a German bicycle brand with a very long and illustrious history. After the company was founded in Nuremberg by Carl Marschütz in 1886, the brand grew rapidly in the following years and also produced motorcycles and cargo bikes. After a large part of the Hercules factory was destroyed in the Second World War, the brand experienced a true odyssey: it was managed by a wide variety of owners and at times even produced trucks and cars. In post-war Germany, Hercules was very successful in manufacturing motorized two-wheelers (mopeds and light motorcycles); in the 1970s, the company even equipped the German Armed Forces with dispatch rider motorcycles. Finally, in 2014, ZEG acquired the rights to the Hercules brand from the Accell Group, which led to a revival of bicycle production. Today, Hercules GmbH manufactures high-quality two-wheelers of all kinds and even has cargo bikes and folding bikes, with and without electric assistance, in its range.

Hercules is now known for striking a chord with its e-bikes. They started marketing so-called E-SUVs early on: fully equipped combinations of e-mountain bikes and e-trekking or e-city bikes, which, in addition to their all-road capabilities, also impress with everyday comfort. Furthermore, they are one of the few manufacturers that offer bikes with reinforced frames and components, which, in combination with particularly powerful drive systems, allow for a higher maximum permissible system weight and thus also accommodate heavier riders (recognizable by the designations "XXL" and "HD").

In addition to its e-bikes, Hercules also offers classic two-wheelers: trekking and city bikes for men and women are just as much a part of the program as youth and children's bikes. A Hercules bicycle is always of high-quality workmanship and affordable. Simple designs and proven shapes characterize the look of the range.

The main focus of Hercules is on its e-bikes: from e-MTBs and e-SUVs to e-trekking and e-city bikes, or even cargo bikes and folding e-bikes like the Hercules Rob Fold, the brand's repertoire offers well-designed and well-made pedelecs in all categories, ensuring that there is a suitable Hercules e-bike for every rider.
